Shorebirds Watercolor Prints For Sale

In addition to the shells, the beach brings these beautiful little birds that dance along the surf. I love to watch Sanderlings graceful movements as they run on the beach looking for food. They are simply fun to watch and will bring a smile to your face.

Resting Sanderlings 2 Painting. Available for sale from ezartesa.com

On warmth, calm day as I walked the Indian Neck Beach on Wellfleet, I saw a flock of Sanderling huddled among the beach rocks. The Sanderling Sandpiper is rusty brown when breeding, and turn pale gray in winter. These birds were very peaceful, a feeling I hope it continues to impart.

Native American Inspired Painting

Native American inspired painting

I always loved to paint horses, because they remind me my childhood and wonderful days spent at my grandparent’s farm. A horse for me symbolizes a power and strength. Before this work, I always painted horses in movement or some action, but this time I wanted to paint a simple picture.
I am inspired by Native American art simplicity and bold colors, but especially I inspired by the Acoma people of New Mexico bold patterns. In this painting I used limited palette of colors: Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Raw Umber, Green and Ivory Black.

Watercolor Portrait of Grandfather

Watercolor portrait of grandfather

This
painting represents my grandfather’s life, and shows the landscapes of his land complete with his parents still standing sauna house, and river where he likes to fishing.
All my childhood summers were spent at my grandparent’s village. When the vision for this painting came to me, I knew this wonderful place was the ideal setting for the image.
There is the symbolic meaning of the oak tree which is in the background to the left of my grandfather’s side. It represents strength and longevity.
My goal was to create a painting that was meaningful and unique.
I used a limited palette of colors: Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Burn Siena, Raw Umber, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Viridian Green, Ivory Black.

Original Watercolor Art

Original Watercolor Art
Watercolor is a delightful medium to use and it offers a great deal of potential for all kinds of subject matter. For me, appeal of watercolor lies in the way that it can be applied in subtle washes (a ‘wash’ is a thin layer of translucent watercolor paint) to capture the transient effects of light and mood.

I like to use watercolor in a more controlled, detailed way.
For this playful painting I had chosen greens, blues, that represents harmony, red - joy, luck, happiness, orange and burnt sienna to bring warmth to the painting.
I use hand made, archival and PH neutral watercolor paper by Arches or Winsor & Newton.

Painting with Watercolor

Painting with Watercolor.
midnight-symphony

Midnight Symphony 15" X 22" watercolor on watercolor paper. © Ezartesa.

Transparency is the most unique quality of watercolor, as it allows the white of the paper to shine through. In addition to transparency, in this painting, I focused on glazing. Glazing is the technique of painting a wet wash (or layer) of color over a previously dried layer of color, to give the optical illusion of a third color.
To add interest to the painting I brought patterns and abstract shapes using one shape over and over, and interlocking it with another.
I have chosen three sleeping birds: swans and Canada geese in order to express one and the same feeling, because I know that repetition of one and the same thing deepens the effect produced. I painted two other geese in action, to give a painting a filing of sound.
For the sky in my painting, I was inspired by magical image of night sky, studded with gold stars, decorating the ceiling of the ancient Egypt tomb.
Big moon symbolizes home. Colors in my painting shift from dark to light. Neutrals - cream, white, beige, brown and grey blue – brings a relaxed, calming feeling.

Bring curiosity, interest and conversation to the room

Bring curiosity, interest and conversation to the room.

This painting brings curiosity, interest and conversation to the room. It would call people to come up and study it. I think it’s perfect for living room, guest room or children room.
This painting is subtle but still pretty crazy. I worked with four color palette: blue, green, orange and brown. I painted sheep in different patterns to create playfulness and give interest to main characters - sheep. I painted trees in different shades of green to give painting little bit serenity. There’s something about the continuity that calms you.
Orange cherry tree gives excitement and flower power.
You can’t go wrong with this painting; colors are very earthy, and it looks good with light and dark wood furniture, traditional, contemporary or modern décor.

Choose Floral Painting For Your Vacation House

This painting is perfect for a subtle, casual vacation house and would look gorgeous in living room, dining room or bed room. Bring in your house the colors of sky, sea, and grass.

Mona Lisa White Flowers. Original Painting - Oil on canvas (gallery - stretched)
Size: 30"x24".

I love to paint flowers, so I decided to paint white Peonies. They are beautiful for their fair, quiet, almost whispering tones. All over the world, white represents purity and simplicity.
To prevent flowers from feeling too stark and boring I added texture with thick paint brushwork.
For background I had chosen contrasting colors turquoise blue and orange to add little bit drama.
When I balancing contrasting colors, I always think about quantity, value, and intensity of each color I use. In painting all colors are medium-light-value, and low-intensity.

How to create a certain mood or feeling in painting

How to create a certain mood or feeling in painting?

Before beginning any painting I try to ask myself: How can I create a painting that will convey a certain mood or feeling? What do I want to say?
My goal as an artist is to communicate visually in such a way that it will stimulate the viewer’s imagination to see not only with their eyes, but also with their hearts.
I solve the major issues first - values, colors, shapes - and then relating them to one another.
Symbolic meaning of shapes or subjects is very important to me. In this painting the paper boats reminds me childhood. When I think about it, I feel warmth, peace in my heart. Life is too complicated, with this painting I trying to find my way back to my peaceful, worry free childhood.
With the abstract shapes and decorative patterns I express joy and playfulness. White flowers symbolizing innocents, purity.
Window with the beautiful seascape - like mirror of the future, haw I would like to feel. Quiet water gives sense of serenity and peace. Geometric Shapes of houses symbolize order and stability.
I work from my imagination. I always wish to transmit what is pleasant and good for me and I try to recreate this in each painting.
I influenced by everything that moves me.

The Painted Sheep

The Painted Sheep.

sheep-cherry-trees
One summer day, after visiting inspiring farm, I fell in love with the sheep, they so cute! Immediately I started painting in my mind.
Couple months later, like a recurring dream, the idea of a sheep painting once again occupied my thoughts. I would like to show, how playful and together elegant sheep are.
sheep-cherry-trees-skech
Firs I work out several ideas in a number of sketches like this one. I play with composition and color. Then I enlarge it on a piece of tracing paper. After working out all the elements on the tracing paper, drawing and redrawing parts until I am satisfied they will work, I trace the drawing on to a larger piece of watercolor paper.
In this painting I used blue, blue greens, orange, red orange, ochre, burnt sienna, burnt umber.
I imagine this painting in elegant room, with light blue green, tan, sand or light peachy walls, red orange sofa with playful blue, green pillows. Chinese coffee table and elegant light wood chairs.
